Academic and Artist Licences
Unity 2 MDK is available for free to students using Unity in research or course work and to artists using Unity to create computer-based art.

To apply for an academic or artist licence, please email unity@moock.org with a description of your project. Please include reference URLs (e.g., academic institution, online exhibit, etc), course or research summary, and instructor's information.

For other non-profit projects, please use the 5-user trial version of Unity, available free of charge. The trial version of Unity 2 Multiuser Server does not time out. However, to create applications for the trial server using UClient for Flash, you'll need to purchase a UClient for Flash licence. The trial version of UClient for Flash auto-disconnects clients after 5 minutes.
