Discussion list for Unity developers. unity-dev at moock.org

Hi,

As I understand it builds the user's reputation profile based on other
peoples responses. I feel I'm a little behind the times, but this must be
the next step to any feedback based shopping cart or social networking
device.

Great project, shame there was no one else online, maybe you could do it
with email? Track peoples emails and record a rating response to any email.
Then have a little downloadable tool for your email client like the Google
widget - then we could work towards filtering email according to reputation.

Hi All,

Just wanted to share my Unity project, titled ReciproCity. It is part of my
master's thesis project, a prototype that is based on Colin's UAvatarChat.
Yes, there are some issues with it, no, it isn't anywhere near perfect...
But it is stable enough to use and capture usable data from... (finally...)

I'd really appreciate any feedback (positive and negative), as well as any
participation - I need to get people to use and 'inhabit' it in order to
generate useful information that I can use in my research. I've attached the
call for participation below.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Drew

Please participate in a new online social environment

The Human Centered Visualization Lab of Simon Fraser University is now
inviting people to participate in a new online social environment called
ReciproCity. If you are interested in trying ReciproCity, please register
for an account at:

http://reciprocity.iat.sfu.ca

ReciproCity is part of a research study aimed towards an understanding of
the scope of use of online social environments, and how people present
themselves and perceive others through the representations that online
environments provide and support. By participating in ReciproCity, you will
be contributing to this research.

All participants who spend a suitable amount of time in ReciproCity will be
included in a lottery draw for a $50 Best Buy gift certificate. (Email
addresses are required in order to be included in the lottery)

We will also be looking for a small group of ReciproCity users who are
interested in participating in a journaling study concerning their
experiences in ReciproCity. These participants will be expected to complete
weekly journaling exercises and answer questions over a four week period.
Journaling study participants will be paid. If you are interested in
becoming part of this journaling study, please send an email to
apaulin at sfu.ca .

Thank you!
