i can't reproduce this error with any version (including the patched 
configuration), but i'll get derek to look at it tomorrow.

does this happen every time you attempt to connect?

meanwhile, we have good initial results from our latest 2.0.3 build. 
we're working hard to make the patched configuration very short lived.
