until recently i had been fully occupied writing a book (Essential 
ActionScript 3.0). now that the book is done, i've returned to Unity 
development. Derek and I met yesterday to discuss the release schedule 
for Unity 3. we still have some more thinking to do, but i'll report 
back as soon as we have a general idea of beta release timing.
