/**
* development workshop
*/
moock.org's multiuser application development workshop (described here:
http://moock.org/pipermail/moock-updates/2004-March/000037.html) is
approaching rapidly.
this friday, we'll be evaluating whether the workshop will be cancelled,
based on the number of ticket sales. we're close to the break-even point
now, so if you plan to attend, but have not yet acquired ticket(s), you
should do so as soon as possible. assuming we do hit the break-even point,
we'll let all ticket holders know. if we don't hit it, ticket owners will
get a full refund after friday.
/**
* other stuff
*/
for the non-workshop crowd, here are some recent posts from
www.moock.org/blog:
=======neat interface
marcos weskamp recently helped develop a website with a highly reactive
navigation system that completely reorganizes itself each time you select an
item. it's a very nice example of how smart you can make an interface with
the Stage.onResize() event. be sure to resize your browser heavily to see
how nicely the interface responds.

=======javadoc for as2
steve webster has started an open-source project to create a javadoc utility
for flash. he's looking for help, so if you have the time to participate,
you should drop by the project site:
>> http://www.asdocgen.org/
according to the site, the first beta is expected in march.
good luck with it steve...i'm sure lots of people hope it works out (mysefl
included)!
=======atomic boarder
francis bourre's atomic boarder just keeps getting better and better! if you
haven't seen this unity application yet, you should definitely take a look.
>> visit atomic boarder:
http://www.atomicboarder.com/
it's a multi-area 3-d chat world (i.e., isometric avatar chat), with a
snowboarding theme. interact with each other and with the world around you.
wonderful artwork and great features, including:
-physically walk from place to place
-sit on chairs
-add buddies and see who's online
-send email-style messages to your buddies
-hear a sound when others are talking about you
produced by Artepict, programmed by francis bourre.
=======moockfpi flash detection updated
a new version of the moockfpi flash detection system is now available. with
this version, you can require your visitors to have flash player 7, 8, or 9
(obviously 8 and 9 have not been released, but i figured i'd make it ready
for those hypothetical versions).
get the latest version and full details here:
http://www.moock.org/webdesign/flash/detection/moockfpi/
* note that if you only want to require your visitors to have flash player
6, you can continue to use version 1.3.5 of the moock fpi. you only need the
new version (1.3.6) if you want to require your visitors to have flash
player 7 (or higher).
