job description:
"The Yahoo! Front Page Events engineering team is looking for a highly
motivated, detail oriented self-starter to assist a cross-functional team in
the technical implementation of high profile advertising campaigns, as well
as the development of infrastructure applications for the production
process. You must be as comfortable writing code as you are on client calls.
You should have great project management skills and be able to manage
expectations of multiple stakeholders across diverse groups within the
company. You should be adept at developing technical documents, functional
specifications and requirements. Expert knowledge of JavaScript,
cross-browser DHTML, and rich media technologies (specifically Macromedia
Flash actionscript) required. Experience with UNIX, Apache, PHP, MySQL is
also crucial. Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem solving skills
a must. This position does require on-call availability for event launches.
3-5 years of related work experience, and a BA/BS or equivalent required,
computer science degree preferred."

and oh ya, after last moock-updates message a few astute readers took
exception to me saying that the new mx 2004 updater is the first of its kind
in the history of flash. they complained that there were flash updaters on
something called a "macintosh" (?)
i meant, "first windows updater"...
