at the upcoming shockwards conference in germany, i'll be doing a 5-hour,
hands-on training session. the workshop will show how to build a chat
application based on Unity. it teaches how to structure an actionscript 2.0
OOP application, how to use the flash mx 2004 v2 components, and how to
build multiuser applications. every participant will be sitting in front of
a computer, actually using flash mx 2004 professional. in order to keep
things intimate, registration is very limited.

attendees should have a prior knowledge of OOP.

a 50% discount on Unity purchases will be offered to all attendees.

macromedia has released a patch (7.0.1) for flash mx 2004 and flash mx 2004
professional. this is the first patch to the authoring tool in the history
of flash. it's a bug-fix patch that addresses stability and performance
issues, but introduces no new features.
