Aug 2010. Odometer 293198km. Since I started using dedicated track tires, I have been changing my tires at the track. Messing arounds with wheel nuts is a hassle, so I installed wheel studs that stay in place when changing tires. No performance improvement here, but the studs make life easier at the track. To prevent the studs from coming out when removing the nuts, I applied lock tite to the end of the studs. I have also heard of people using anti seize on the studs where the bolts thread on.
Definitely more convenient. Well worth it if you swap tires a lot.
