This journal contains one newbie's hands-on impressions of selected popular modifications for a stock 05/1988 BMW 325 (M20 SETA). At the beginning of the process,I had never driven on a track, and had mechanical experience. At first, I wanted to restore the car to clean bone-stock, keeping the car usable as a daily driver. But as I improved the car's performance, handling, and responsiveness for track days and autocross, I had so much fun that I started building a track car that could also be driven to the track.

Turn 10

In September 2010, the car met its end on Turn 10 of Mosport International Raceway.

Part Out

After my first e30 was decommissioned, I removed all usable parts. I moved some parts to my second e30, and have put the rest up for sale.
