if you didn't already know, flash mx 2004 includes a new help system that can be updated dynamically. the updates that are now available fill in all the gaps that you might have noticed in flash mx 2004's documentation, including tons of new component reference material.
grab this important documentation update in your flash application by opening the Help panel (F1) and clicking "Update".

Posted by: Mike Britton at September 19, 2003 01:02 PMHi,
Update on Macintosh MacOSX don't working. !
I think I ran into a bug in the grid.
I tried different things but the spaceColumnsEqually()
method returns an unwanted result.
Without modifying styles or something I was following
the article about an RS editor with the datagrid.
I saw it as an exercise to learn some new things about
mx2004.
I have a grid, I add new columns, I add a dataprovider
It works, it displays the information. But when I invoke
grid.spaceColumnsEqually(); none of the cells are visible.
However, the rows are still added because the color of the
rows still changes when I hover.
It seems that the data is deleted ...
Posted by: Bram at September 18, 2003 10:52 AMmm not, but here you will find a changelog:
http://mizubitchy.antville.org/stories/516397/
I'm not the AS expert but I allready found
two wrong help files.
I searched for the Alert component and
tried the popupManagerClass but it didn't work
it said:
import mx controls.Alert
but it should be:
import mx.controls.Alert
the other error was concerning the datagrid docs
MM has to release another update asap i guess ...
Posted by: Bram at September 18, 2003 06:31 AMI just get
"No new help is available" when i press upload
Should I find something on say the datagrid component?
Does Macromedia say what part of the documentation it has updated?
